Juce, thus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(table&nbsp;grace&nbsp;I learned from my parents, especially his father, growing up in the Lutheran church; we&#8217;ve heard it from others in mainline churches so we suspect it has a more general source)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Come, Lord Jesus, and be our Guest,<br>And let these gifts to us be blessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(from Canadian Lutheran World Relief &#8211; CLWR, the Lutheran equivalent of the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Feed us with your Living Bread<br>That all creation may be fed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(from CLWR, again):<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For food in a world where many walk in hunger;<br>For faith in a world where many walk in fear;<br>For fellowship in a world where many walk alone;<br>We give you thanks, O Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> (Canadian Methodist clergyman, social Gospel reformer and founder of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation (C.C.F.), the forerunner of the New Democratic Party (N.D.P.), J.S. Wordsworth (1874-1942), is the source of &#8220;Grace&nbsp;before meat&#8221; (modified by us) per his daughter&nbsp;Grace&nbsp;MacInnis&#8217; 1953 biography of him,&nbsp;<em>J.S. Wordsworth: &nbsp;a Man to Remember<\/em>):<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>We give you thanks for these and all the good things in life.<br>We recognize they come to us through our sisters and brothers the world over.<br>What we desire for ourselves we wish for all.<br>To this end may we participate in the world&#8217;s work and in the world&#8217;s salvation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(The Orthodox Christian Church):<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Christ, Our God,\u00a0<br>Bless these gifts of us, your servants,\u00a0<br>The hands that prepared them,<br>And those that partake of them,<br>For You are Holy<br>Now and ever and unto ages of ages. \u00a0Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Here is the Orthodox Christian table grace that we stand and sing after eating:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We  give thanks to You , O Christ our God, that You have satisfied us  with  Your earthly blessings; deprive us not also of Your Heavenly  Kingdom,  but as You came among Your disciples and did grant them peace,  so come  unto us and save us, O Saviour.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The table graces before eating actually consists of 5&nbsp;table&nbsp;graces I gradually strung together throughout my 27-year marriage to Esther G.
