Greetings from Buenos Aires and the CLC World Assembly on this Day #4<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today was more of a prayerful and reflective day, thankfully. It was a\n day spent reflecting upon on our CLC blessed history through the vision\n of the time line, a time of personal prayer and what has moved us about\n our World and National CLC history, and a sharing of this history. In \nthe afternoon we then spent more prayerful time reflecting upon and \nsharing how we were moved with what was revealed in the morning visually\n shared on the timeline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because we have spent more time in personal prayer and small group \nreflections today Michelle, Catherine and I have not seen as much of \neach other. Plus the seating arrangement is getting more fluid\u2026. when \npeople are starting to sit in different places each time we gather \npeople are starting to get to know each other more\u2026 looking to sit \nbeside a wider circle of new friends:) But don\u2019t worry, Michelle, \nCatherine, and I are still friends\u2026 I think:) Michelle and Catherine \nshare a room for this Assembly\u2026 and Michelle has a cough. Coughing so \nmuch last night Michelle had to find a couch somewhere in kindness to \nCatherine so she could sleep. Then the local CLC members had pity on \nMichelle, and Catherine, offering them all kinds of home remedies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of us had a free evening\u2026 I and the other EA\u2019s met with Fr. \nGeneral after dinner for question and answer time. Some of the questions\n that were brought up were how Jesuits and CLC\u2019s can collaborate more \ntogether, particularly younger Jesuits. For this collaboration to deepen\n between us Fr. General mentioned that a conversion needed to continue \nto take place amongst Jesuits in learning to work with CLC\u2019s. One \ndifficulty in this was suggested\u2026 that Jesuits are being asked to \ncollaborate with CLC members and its leaders in a truly collaborative \nmanner\u2026 and so many Jesuits are not used to that way of working with \nothers. Jesuits are used to being in charge and directors of works. Our \npresence with CLC\u2019s requires of us a different way of working together. \nCertainly thoughts to prayerfully ponder and consider for our future \nformation in what it means to be truly collaborative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One other highlight of the day was in coming together with our French\n Canadian counterparts, along with Sr. Nadia from Haiti, to reflect with\n each on what has been moving us during this Assembly. Because our days \nare fulled, we only met briefly after lunch. But we will continue to \nmeet each day like this. On our outing yesterday I had the pleasure of \nwalking with the new President of CVX french Canada, Andr\u00e9e Richard, who\n was once a member of CLC english Canada before moving back to Quebec. \nWe had a wonderful talk about the possibilities of CLC and CVX english \nand french Canada working and interacting more closely together in the \nfuture. I do hope this can come about\u2026 Andr\u00e9e is very much excited about\n these possibilities, and Michelle certainly is too:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because wifi is so limited here I only share with you a few photos\u2026 \none of our CLC Canada presentation\u2026 we even provided sweets for people\u2026 \nmaple sugar candies in the shape of maple leafs:) And the other of the 3\n of us with a CLC elder from Mexico who broke open for us in the morning\n our CLC history timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
